Reconnect with Nature at the Retreat
Join us for a transformative experience in a serene setting, where you can relax, share stories, and deepen your connection with nature and each other.

A wellbeing retreat with a focus on exploring our connection with nature.
The venue is a beautiful place with an octagonal roundhouse, an outdoor wood fired hot tub and a wood fired sauna.
The retreat gives you time to relax and get to know the each other, share your stories and create a bond of mutual understanding and respect. We will 'open the circle', a pagan ceremony to mark the start of an important time and is the start of our journey into connecting with nature in this wonderful way. Yoga, shared meals and a workshop on Embodied Foraging followed by the shared meal experience. You will leave feeling refreshed and ready for the year ahead, with new insights into life.
The retreat is a two nights stay. Day one is arrival, intro's, food, an evening discussion regarding the format of day two and a description and overview from me. It is an opportunity for us to share our reasons for coming and to gain a little insight and positive regard for the group members. The rest of the evening is chat & chill in the roundhouse with the wood burner and also the sauna and hot tub.
Day two will start with yoga with Sadie, then we will go to the pagan field and open the circle, invoking the spirits and the elements of the four compass directions. I must note at this point that each part of the retreat is focused on the inclusion of science based positive wellbeing rituals and routines, and as a forager who feels that being in tune with and understanding the role of the seasons and the elements, rituals like the pagan casting a circle are a powerful way to set the scene for the important time ahead.
We will commune together again, this time a light lunch followed by a session on embodiment in nature, before delving in to the meditation session that will take us into the evening.
As your guide I will be on hand to chat and assist your meditation, and Sadie will be on hand to look after any hospitality needs during the session. Your comfort is of utmost importance.
Later in the evening and again in the morning we will be able to reflect on our experiences before returning to the pagan field to close the circle and thank the spirits of the East, South, North and West.
The cost of the retreat is £300. This includes food. Special dietary requirements and also a discussion about any current conditions and medications will be had on a 1:1 basis prior to bookings being taken.
Camper vans - yes it if fine to stay in your own accommodation if you prefer.
Other sleeping arrangements will be a shared room of 4 bunks (this will be pre arranged to make sure that no one is feeling uncomfortable with sharing), 2 x double bedrooms, plus 2 x double beds in the caravan. (The caravan has electric heating).
This is a total capacity of 12 people, plus any campervanners. However, I will be keeping the numbers down to around 8 to ensure that the group works as best as it can. I'm afraid that it will be first come first booked on!
Please contact for retreat dates.
I wondered what I would share about this retreat as a way to help people who are considering booking to maybe understand it a bit more, beyond the event description. What I have now realised is that writing this helps me also understand my own process of moving through it as an experience that started with the unknown/uncomfortable but which now resides in the familiar & comfortable. While I was really interested to attend such a retreat for a long time, I also held some apprehension about staying with a group of people I didn't know, in a place I hadn't stayed before, to have an experience I hadn't had before. The only "known" things were that I had met Colin previously and knew him to be kind, knowledgeable and trustworthy, and of course I know myself. I have now been twice and hope to attend a third time. The retreat really is a warm immersion into nature and connection, and is facilitated with a great deal of care. The venue is a welcoming place which has space to have quiet moments, space to collaborate with others, and the blissful wood fired sauna and hot tub. I would encourage anyone to contact Colin & Sadie to discuss if this would be a good fit for them. Thanks Colin & Sadie for creating a place in my calendar each year to look forward to.

I attended the retreat last year, with some excitement but also slight trepidation, as I only knew Colin and Sadie and I wasn't sure how everything would go. It turns out that I needn't have worried, of course! Everything was really well organised and we were very well looked after for the whole weekend. It felt like we were in a safe space throughout our time together, from opening the retreat to the close. It was the right balance of being able to spend time together but also having time for individual experiences. Everything was well planned, to keep our safety, comfort and enjoyment in mind, including communal meals, morning yoga, forage walk, informational talk, games and night-time hot tub... And all in a beautiful, unique building, in a very natural and peaceful setting. If highly recommend this retreat and I already have my name down for next year!

I had been on a couple of forages with Col and Sadie and when they suggested a mushroom retreat in the fall, I jumped at the opportunity. It surpassed my expectations and was one of the most memorable and wonderful experiences that I have had. They both made us all feel so relaxed and at peace with the world, sharing meals and quality time together. An awesome event, never to be forgotten.

Colin and Sadie’s retreat was nothing short of authentic, heartfelt and good for the soul. I felt completely safe, at ease and made beautiful connections.
It was a perfectly held from start to finish in a beautiful tranquil location and I came back from the weekend feeling rejuvenated, cup full and can recommend this retreat to anyone ready to explore different things with an open heart alongside likeminded people!
